Professional Positions:
1. Vice Chairman of Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO), since 1995 to continue. Responsibilities include planning, setting priorities, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of agri. research implemented by research institutes, centers and special projects of AREEO, which has a staff of about 1800 scientists and 1900 technical support staff located at various research institutes and centers throughout the country. 2. Director General, Soil and Water Research Institute of Iran 1983-1995. Responsibilities included, research priority setting, planning, monitoring and evaluation of research projects in soil fertility and plant nutrition, irrigation and water management, soil pollution, Soil classification land suitability evaluation, and land reclamation. 3. Project Leader, Land Reclamation and Drainage of North Golpayegan Plain, 1980-1984. The project covered an area of about 10000 ha. of saline and alkali soils which were thoroughly reclaimed and brought under cultivation. It also included activities in soil conservation, flood water spreading and watershed management.
4. Director of Agricultural Office, City of Golpaygan 1980-1982. Duties include supervising agricultural extension, production, plant and animal protection, and rural development such as construction of small dams and irrigation systems.
Teaching Experiences and Supervision of Theses 1. Teaching graduate courses at the Colleges of Agriculture, University of Tehran and Teacher University since 1985 to continue. 2. Has supervised and advised many M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in their theses at the Colleges of Agriculture, University of Tehran, Teacher University and others.
