Introduction Sustainable management of agricultural and natural resources has the key role in the sufficient food supply. soil with no doubt is beleived to the most important medium for food production. with the rapid growth of population and the increasing demand for agricultural land, care should be taken for the proper soil management, balanced use of fertilizers, sustainable land use change, and preventing soil pollution. Quality of plant products is strongly influenced by the proper management of the soil resources. The 11th national congress of soil sciences will be held in Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and natural Resources with the aim of soil management and food security in july 12-14 , 2009. Main Objectives: -Discussing the latest achievements in soil science. - Scientific challenges among soil scientists and to involve young scientists with the problems of the soils in Iran. -Discussions on the potentials and problems of the soils and research priorities. |
